Hello All- a quick intro- Im in upstate NY ( Not NYC) and just got my first wagon. or should i say the wagon got me. I have a 46 Chevy that is all original but not very practical for highways if you know what i mean. I was thinking about something big enough for the kids and the dog and be able to travel with. And then it happened.....I was at Hershey last fall with some guys who had deep pockets. They were going to spend my money if i liked it or not. I was walking the car corral and there she was---1966 Ford Country Sedan. Long black bitch with no trim and a roof rack. Wide tires and a 351W hiding under the hood and dual exhaust out the back. Interior very nice and paint---well nice enough with no holes. They boys said "oh no what about this other car---its only $10K---you dont want a wagon" Nope- the wagon had me as soon as i walked up to her and she came home with me. BARELY fit on the car trailer. The Kids and dog LOVE the long black bitch. And so do i...

Hi Marty, great looking wagon. SO your friends have no taste but you obviously do...:yup: And you've named it already...Long Black B.... well you know the rest...maybe I'll just call her LBB. :yup:
A few others around here have been lured by their own wagons, including myself. Hope you have fun and enjoy the forums.

thanks everyone. The steel rims on the wagon were widened an inch so that the original hubcaps could be used. It makes the look. Here is the 46 named "Happyness" by my then 5 yr old daughter. Bought new in 46 by my exwife great uncle and lovingly cared for by her father. He has 51K mi and everything works. its like driving a couch...just floats along. I put about 500 miles a year on him. It will be my sons car when he turns 40 and not a minute sooner!

I am also working on a 1926 Davis which is very interesting.

Thanks for the warm welcome and hopefully i can help someone
    Marty
