Hello all! First post, first station wagon forum, yet to have a first wagon... Have recently begun to fall in love with wagons on a more serious level. It's one of those things I've always wanted, but have been thinking about it seriously lately. I've always been drawn to the surf wagon/rat rod type wagons. Below are couple of examples of wagons that I've looked at, but have missed out on: http://www.classiccarliquidators.com/classic-cars/1961/ford/country-sedan-wagon/1J64X118052 http://classicalgasmotors.com/cars/1171/1171.htm Anyway, here's to the beginning of a beautiful (message board) relationship!

takeiteasy. just keep takin it easy and soon the wagon of your dreams will find you. At an early age you are hooked. Have fun here and good luck.
Welcome Takeiteasy! I am also from the DFW area (Burleson) and love the same type wagons. I currently have a 61' Falcon 2-door but I am always on the lookout. I will keep you in mind!
Welcome Takeiteasy. Glad to see somebody your age realizing how cool the long roofs are. Don't worry, the right wagon will come around, I guarantee it. By the way, I think they were asking too much for that '61. If it was mint, it might be worth 11,900, but the reupholstered front seat wasn't done back to the way the factory did it as it didn't match the back seat. Plus the armrest was missing on one of the door panels and the roof looked like it was a bit damaged. Nice wagon, don't get me wrong; I just feel the price was no bargain. Hang in there; you'll find one.
I saw the pics, gorgeous! Thanks for keeping an eye out! Wow, thanks for the input! When the time comes and I find the right wagon, I'll be sure and run it by the experts here and make sure it passes all the right tests!
Glad you found us, Easy. Just take it easy your wagon will present itself, and when it does there will be no more taken it easy aboard.
