I still have my mom's daily driver, a 78 Lebaron, in classic cream and corinthian saddle leather, WITH, luggage rack and wind deflector!!! My dad bought it new for her at Kellogg Chrysler, Plymouth, Imperial, in August 1978!!! Wow. It has 102K original miles, of course the odometer shows 2,114 miles!!! Lee Iococca innovated the 999,999 mileage odometer in the mid eighties! I love the car, and I must, since I have been dedicated to its service, upkeep, and repairs that have been needed. It has the 5.2 V-8 with 'lean burn' and Torqueflite lock-up overdrive. It got 24 mpg with the air on, back in the day, with cruise at 60mph. Not a hemi, but not bad.

:Welcome:rockshock. I wished I could have gotten and kept an old family vehicle. Even one that I bought years ago. The memories and reasons for keeping it encourage people to keep them in good shape. Hope you like the station wagon forum.
10 0r 12 pictures will keep most of us happy for a few days. :camera:

Yikes, you must have a ton of memories in that wagon. Is it still in your mom's name? A one owner '78, how rare would that be? I join the other crazies in welcoming you and requesting a pictorial essay please.

1978 was the first year for the LeBaron wagon, and its Dodge stablemate, the Diplomat wagon. I have a '78 LeBaron sedan, and it's a great car for long road trips.
