I came wagonless to the Station Wagon Forum two years ago (I don't count the Passatt wagon). I was looking specifically for a 67 Belvedere II wagon and had been unsucessful in finding one on my own. Within a year, I had purchased the wagon I sought from another member. The one piece that desperately needs replacement, is the tailgate. Like so many of our older wagons, it has rusted through completely. Although it looks good and solid in the closed position, its completely rotted out on the inside, and the metal where the hinges attach barely supports the weight of the tailgate.
Now another Station Wagon Forum member has come through for me with a spare tailgate he had for his Belvedere wagon. Not only did he sell me the tailgate for the low amount that he had into it, refusing to take any more, but he delivered it to within an hour and a half of my house all the way from Chicago at no charge. The tailgate he brought me is in better shape than I expected. A few pin holes of rust here and there, but over all, its very solid and usable. I'm looking forward to getting this piece on my wagon!
In addition, he was able to give us a personal tour of a restoration shop with a collection of very cool old Mopar muscle cars and race cars.
Thank you Arvid Svendsen!!!! I wish you had at least let me take you to lunch, but I understand your time was limited and you had other obligations. I hope to see you again at the Mopar show in Carlisle this summer, and I at least owe you dinner.
    Thanks again!!!

Jim, thanks for the kind words, had a great time meeting you guys, and glad you can use the tailgate! Sorry I was kinda caught up in getting the pics of that Challenger. I walked in my door today at 3:30 AM, about 2000 miles driving in 48 hours, it was one of the all time great road trips for me.

Keep me posted, still shooting for Carlisle!

    Arvid

Yes I can! But it would be only the tailgate. The rest of the car still sits in a friend's garage in Massachusettes. All I have of the wagon here in Virginia, is my new tailgate and a set of wheel covers. I think I'll get to see my wagon in person for the first time this spring.
