Hi there - I'm a new member who has been fascinated with wagons ever since I grew up riding in them in the '70s and '80s. Anyway, I've got a family of my own now and have been longing for a ride that could combine the nostalgia of that with my interest in old resto-mod low-buck performance cars too. So tomorrow I'm picking up my new purchase: a 1970 Ford Country Squire! It's pretty clean, but far from mint. 390 automatic. Should be fun to play around with. Can't wait! Will post pics when I get it. Hope to learn some stuff from this community too!
How exciting for you a new wagon! Congratulations, we all can appreciate your excitment. I'll be looking forward to your pics. to the best forum on the net...as far as I know...and I'm a world traveller, well my world any way. Hope you enjoy it as much we do.
to the wagon train, art. Those are nice wagons. We love pix and we love to see progress as it happens, so, stick around and share your adventure with us! We will give all the help we can.
Welcome, Art. Congratulations on the new (to you) wagon. Nothing like a big Country Squire..... Marshall
Country Squires are one of my all time fav's.. Used to have a '76 Country Squire.. still kick myself for getting rid of it. What a beautiful land yacht it was. Maybe again some day. Pics, pics and more pics please when you do get it!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Welcome, I am also a fan of the Ford wagons. I am actually looking at a Country Squire that my neighbor has.
Thanks everyone! Nice to feel welcome already. I promise to deliver on the pics as soon as I can. The Squire should be in my possession by mid-afternoon tomorrow.
