He fell through the ceiling he working on.
Landed on his arse, but you'd think he landed on his face.
Needed 13 stitches to get patched up.
I should've taken pictures. Looked like he was on the wrong end of a bar fight. :boxing:
His computer bit the dust too, so he won't be responding to anything right away I'm sure.

Sorry StorminNormin! Not sure what the computer had to do with it. Unless he fell on the puter? Probably can't sit down anyway. Where's the pictures?--------------- Hope everything comes out in the end!:rofl2:

    Mend well, Norman!

Falling through the ceiling means that he fell between some rafters - that could hurt.......

I think I've got a good little internal computer that alerts me in plenty of time before I try anything foolish. And it's dialed itself way down from when I was younger. Never used to be bothered by climbing to the top of a 16' extension ladder, such as when hanging Christmas lights. Gives me the willies now.....so I don't do it.

Yup - and then you also have lumber and tools falling on you.
He's in good spirits as usual, but I'm sure he's feeling it today.
    He is 60, or thereabouts...

    I'm good!!!

I remember Parachute training, where they warned us that it wasn't the fall, it was the sudden STOP!!!:D

I really debated whether to go to the ER, no kidding. My wife was panicky, running around like a headless chicken, and I just told her to calm down and help me get the emergency kit. I fell right into the bathroom below, so it was close by. She calmed right down, poured some cotton balls with peroxide, and then, joking, I asked for the sewing kit... She got out of the panic-mode and chuckled. (y)

Anyway, I called Andy, because I figured driving on icey streets wasn't a smart move, and 30 minutes later I'm sitting in the ER. from 5:12 PM to 12:20 AM. Seems the surgery room was the hotspot for yesterday. Broken bones, job injuries, etc.

I'm in good shape. Nothing broken, one small scrape on the left upper arm, and back to work! Not even sore muscles!

I was cutting the upstairs joists for the new stairwell, got interrupted with a neighbour that wanted to borrow a few flicks, and when I went back up to finish cutting the others, I stepped on the unsupported end of a long strip of plywood, and dropped on my butt. Missed the toilet and cast iron tub, and didn't even have an instant to think about grabbing anything to cut the fall. Probably why I didn't hurt myself worse. No chance for resitance.

Anyway, Andy and his wife are the heroes, on this one. Many heartfelt thanks, guys. My wife asked me if I wanted her to come, and I told her to watch a funny movie. She HATES waiting rooms. Anyway, she 'knew' I'd be ok. Allowed me to keep my calm, and munch on the fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies she gave me to snack on, while I was waiting.

The surgeon was a good guy. Short little fart, from Scotland, and we were telling each other stories about sewing. Turns out his dad was a tailor in Edinburgh. My mother made dresses for diplomats and some stars. Good guy.

    Thanks guys, and especially Andy.(y):)
