Hello, I have just bought my first wagon and cannot wait to start building it. It is a 1961 Ford 2-door ranch wagon. I bought it with no engine and trans, but thats ok I have a 1962 Ford 406 FE engine with a C6 trans to put in this thing. A rare engine for a rare wagon, should go together great! Also going to put in power steering and power brakes, so the wife can cruz it if she wants. It was in this guys "barn" for many years and it was a california desert car its whole life, so there is zero rust! Excited to be on this forum! Thanks!!

Cool wagon! I really like the "to be" design - you're gonna have a killer ride when you get finished! Glad you're keeping it all Ford. These days, I don't know why someone would still put a Chevy engine in a Ford. There's too many good Ford options!

    :Welcome:

If I were rich (lots of disposable income) I would plop an new Coyote 5.0 and a six speed manual in there....also a Lincoln Mk VIII IRS while I was at it.

Very cool wagon with a minimum of stylistic cliches; always loved the door handles.
It's going to be one mean ride!
