    [EDIT: Pictures in POST below!!]

    Hi all,
Just found this forum, seems quite nice so I thought I'd join!!
And also ask for a bit of help...
I've got an 87 Caprice Classic which needs a couple of bits which seem almost impossible to track down. In the next month or so I intend to import an 87 Safari (Yes, I have gone crazy) with the idea of putting all the bits in there!

A bit about the cars :)

1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, originally imported directly to England from the factory - being repainted to the original two tone blue :) Need some bits to finish the interior though...

1987 Pontiac Safari (Parisienne) - Gold with Tan interior, 1 owner car from California, looks good, not in my possesion yet... ;)

So, things I need to find:
    1. Wing Mirror (ebay - $38 seems the best bet - shipping to UK is an extra $124, whereas it's free shipping within the US - hence my idea of putting them in the Pontiac before importation :) )
    2. New Carpet - dark blue (Federal Blue I think??)
    3. New carpet bits for all of the rear compartment - someone before me decided to install (and uninstall repeatedly) an LPG conversion meaning everything in the back is scratched to hell and the carpet is missing :(
    4. Headliner - not sure where to get this either...
    5. Dash pad(s) - Caprice one is all cracked, Pontiac had one on before so why not get one to match the Chevy...

[EDIT] Forgot a couple of things!
    6. The usual crumbling plastic bit for the rear window
    7. Weatherstripping

Can anyone help me on getting these bits and pieces? No company that I can find seems to be as enthusiastic in restoring these wagons as I am it seems, maybe you can help? (y)

:Welcome: Buff, good to meet you. That's quite a list and I can see why you want to get as much as you can into the Safari. There will be others chime in and they may have a few suggestions for you. Good luck with your parts search...fun isn't it? ;)

    Welcome to the forum. :)

Good luck with the parts searching, I'm hoping some of our good GM folks will give you some suggestions on locating what you need.

Needs some rocker Panels (I think that's what they're called) and that fender (wing) to be sorted out!

Thanks for the welcomes! Can I just say, the WIndow sweep/sealing strip for the tailgate is THE hardest part to find! None. Anywhere! :49:
