My name is Dewey and its a pleasure to meet my fellow wagon fanatics!! My ride is a 74 Plymouth Satellite station wagon. I am the second owner, it was literally a little old ladies car (my previous employers mother in law) got her with 47,000 original miles and paid $50.00 for her sight unseen. A few dollars later (like 9 grand) and here she is.

    Hydraulics.

The suspension system is hydraulic but not in the traditional "hopping" style. One pump is mounted underhood (plenty of room, he he) the other pump is mounted in the foot space of the rear facing seat. I ran a modification to the system called accumulators that acts like a gas charged cushion for the hydraulic rams which are pretty much mounted in the stock shock locations with a slight geometry correction behind the rear axle. It rides like a dream! In that big car floaty style that is so fun. Both pumps are powered by 12 volt batteries the front pump off the cars regular battery the rear off a compact Honda civic battery. I will get some more pics up soon that show more of this stuff and how I did it. It raises the car from flat on the ground to around 10 inches of ground clearance under the rockers.
