I can't remember the years from a few of the wagons I've had.

Dodge Colt DL -88 A teeny weeny wagon I'm listing only because that's what it sold as. Lasted 14 years and still had the original SS exhaust system when I donated it because of rust issues.

Late 70's Ford Wagon: Model ? I think this one had seen better days.

Early 70's Fairmont : Neat little wagon Except whenever the weatherman said there was rain in the forecast it refused to start.

Another early 80's Ford: Model ? Had to donate this one as well

88 Caprice: Fantastic car - until the engine blew out. Still wish I had it

92 Olds Cutlass: very reliable 3.3 engine. Another car I really enjoyed but the rust got to that one too.

Here's one probably nobody thinks of as a wagon but in retrospect I think was - just ahead of its time: 68 Triumph GT6. We absolutely loved this car. Drove to Acadia National Park way up in Maine to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire to the tip of Cape Cod. Thank goodness my father was around then, a master mechanic who kept it running. I waxed it once a week! I'm getting tired of saying this but the rust got to that one also.

Maybe it's where I live - Gloucester, MA, right on the coast. Salty winters and salty summers.

I look everyday for another wagon. Don't care if it gets 5mpg. I love driving. Of course I hope it's not rusty. I want that part all for my own.

    Well let's see.

My first car was an 84 Cavalier wagon, it was the family car. Got it in 92 and drove that for 4 years.

Then in 96 I got the 90 Pontiac 6000 wagon for $7000. Drove it till 05 when the floorpan holding the trailing arms rusted out. I fixed it and still have it, which is spending its retirement years as my driveway plow car.

In 97 I bought an 86 Celebrity wagon for $50. Was a good 2nd car and my primary winter car.

In 03 I got my first non-wagon, the 89 Celebrity that I still drive, for $700. In 05 I got a 90 Lumina APV for $500 since I've always liked those and needed something to pull my trailer with again.

Also in 05, I stripped and junked the 86 Celebrity wagon, and picked up the 89 Pontiac 6000 wagon for $30. Since then it has been my primary winter car.

In 06 I picked up the 92 Trans Sport van with the bigger engine for $900, and sold the 90 Lumina APV for what I paid. Still have the van, for towing and hauling kids and bigger stuff.

In 07 or so I was given a 92 Escort wagon. Thought about using it as a gas miser but never really could get into the Ford thing. Fixed some things on it and sold it for $200.

In 09 or so I got a 91 Cavalier for the kids to use for school, and for something to use a lot less gas than the van.

So all in all I've had 5 wagons. More than I've had other kinds of cars.

When the 89 6000 gets to where I can't patch it up anymore, I would like to have another Cavalier wagon.

Well, guess I'll let the cat out of the bag. When I was in high School in the early to mid Eighties I went thru the VW trend and had my fair share of lowered classic VW's.

    1964 VW Variant
    1966 VW Variant
    (4) 1967 VW Variants
    1968 and a 1969

Quite frankly, way too few. I can't even remember how many we had, isn't that sad? I'm pretty sure it was 6 but have to go through old pictures to make sure.

    '57 Pontiac Safari
'78 Pontiac lemans (the small one)
    '75 Pontiac (the big one)
    '68 Olds Vista Cruiser
    '63 Ford Falcon
' think I can remember this one? Crap. It was a small foreign/british one but it escapes me at the moment. And I know there were others :slap::slap: This losing my memory thing is honestly getting scary. Real scary. I gotta go talk to the doctor about this. I mean how of all things could I forget what wagons I had? I'm starting to feel, like, well, OLD, or something.

I have a volvo wagon right now, and am suprised how much we like it...but just a few months ago I got rid of my first wagon...'72 V.W. squareback, automatic. It was a sad day, but I just got pictures of it now, it's been rat roded. It has large fins on the back, and different doors. Its good to see my car take on a new look! I will try to post pict. but I'm not too good with computer stuff...I think you guys would like it as much as I do...

Seeing these endless lists of cars some of you had really gives a new meaning to the word "wagonnut". Anyway, these were mine once:

    1968 Chevrolet caprice 350
    1972 Pontiac Grand Safari 455
    1998 Opel Omega MV6 3.0
    1988 Chevrolet Caprice 307
    1999 Subaru Legacy 2.5

    4 wagons in my lifetime:
    1974 Toyota Corona Mk II

    1982 Volvo 240

1985 Mercedes 300 TD - non turbo, black, tan interior, drove it to 356,000 miles then gave it to my sister. Wish I still had that car. Best wagon/car I have ever owned.

1978 Mercury Colony Park 8 passenger wagon - currently sitting in a barn, hoping to sell soon.

I learned to drive in a 1971 Catalina Safari(400 4V Carb), had it up to 80mph within an hour after passing my driving test.
Next in line was a 1970 Lemans Safari that was equipped from the factory with a 350hp, 400-4V and Muncie 4 speed. Very fun wagon and would love to get it back, the guy I sold it to in 1980 still has it but won't give it up.
1973 Pontiac Grand Safari, 455 4V, had it for a very short time, all I remember about it was it using alot of gas and when I bought it all the interior lights were in a box in the glove compartment. There were 8 bulbs from all the dome and courtesy lamps all over the car. Thought it strange that they were removed, so I installed them and took off down the road, first bump I hit, all the lights came on and couldn't be turned off, those little bulbs sure got pretty hot by the time I got them all back out.
1979 Pontiac Sunbird Safari, 4cyl automatic, I think it was Pontiacs first attempt at traction control, didn't have enough power to spin the tires even in the snow.
1977 Pontiac Safari, my current project car, about to replace the 301 2V with a fresh 400 4V from a 78 Trans Am.
Been around wagons all my life, mostly Pontiacs which my dad instilled in me. When I was a kid, he drove a 1966 Catalina wagon with a 389 4V. Saturdays were always work on car days(tune-up, oil change, etc...). Then the two of us would take it out for a "test drive" and bury the needle just to make it was running all right. Now, 40+ years later, my wife wonders why I have such a heavy foot at times, I guess I inherited it from my dad.
