My Old Man Kirby needs surgary

Expensive morning so far, $370 at the vets

Old Man Kirby like alot of large dogs, as they get old/older they develope a calis cyst on there front elbows. It's from there wieght from when they lay down. Kirb has had them for a few years now and a couple time one (the same one) has gotton infected. Last Friday we noticed he was liking one alot, looked and it didn't look rite. We had the vet apointment for this AM thank crist because last nite it started bleeding, I wraped him up and he was fine with that but the vet says it has gotton infected and needs to be removed. First the infection needs to be treated so he's on meds till next Tuesday when he has surgary. I'll be taking at least wednesday of next week off to make sure he'll be OK.

Did I ask how much the surgary will cost?..NO!

He's worth it!!

I swear I wouldn't be walking today if it wasn't for him, he's pulled me out of many a hole.

Best of luck with Kirby, Tedy. I'm sure it'll go well and he'll be good as new. It's always heart breaking to see our "best friends" suffer at all, though.
Make sure to take another picture of him in the "way back" of the new Olds when he's back on his feet.

 

FT, I am sure he will do just fine. GSDs are very in-tune with their masters as you know as well as I do. He will appreciate what your doing for him. My German is now 6 1/2 years old, he still thinks hes about one. I worry when he gets older, hes not gona be to happy staying idol as much.

Hes a big chicken too! HATES the vet. So much, that I have to go in with him, hold him, keep telling him "I'm here big guy", otherwise he freaks out.

MrMister.. Kirby AKA "Kirb" is a full shep, he is a rescue although we did find out where he came from a time later and talked to the family. His Mom is pure king papered, and his dad is a long hair, from papered parents.

Strange day for sure, been hanging out with the old man as my honey took Rascal to work today, woried about the old man, and I find..a barn find. bad day/good day..??
