It was a gold 86 chevy estate. second was an 81 vista, third was an 87 estate, now i have a great looking 84 estate. it has 240,000 easy miles. and with lots of new parts and rebuilding others i am slowly rolling back the odometer. thanks..:):):):):)

ok got some pix taken today. so far since i have purchased the car i haven't been able to do much as far as modifications. i have done mostly catch up work from the car sitting for two years in a garage.... i bought the car for 600.00 bucks and a 4.3 v-6.i would like to put a cowl induction hood on it, and replace the wood grain with black satin finish vinyl. i have a small block 400 that is currently in the machine shop being freshened up. hope that that has a little more get up and go than the wooooooore out 305 that is in it. little question to anyone out there. if i just use the long block of the 400 and use all uf the other stuff off of the 305 will the computer care or know that something is not stock?

oh and one more question to anyone...... what is the plastic panel called that covers the right rear speaker between the long side glass and the tailgate glass over the d-pillar???? the reason i ask is i went to a big name electronics store and bought a new head unit and speakers for her and the guy says would you like us to install it for you we are running a special on it today as a promotional its free..... i thought well i could do it never that hard before all of the wiring is done it wont be hard for them .... no worries sure. i come back about fifteen minutes later head unit done then i look over and the kid has cut out that panel and is drilling holes in it!:49::49::49::49::49::49::49::49::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:! because the computer says it is supposed to have a 6x9 in it not a 4x10 and they dont have any so this is all he could do.:banghead3::banghead3::banghead3::banghead3::banghead3::banghead3::banghead3: i spent two days drove 300 miles trying to find the part and cant find one so if anyone could tell me where to look and tell me what its called i would really appreciate it.

and and as far as what i have done to it myself tie rods, drag link, ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm, springs, shocks, front upper and lower bushings, wheel bearings, rotors, calipers, pads, shoes, hoses, lines, proportioning valve, master cylinder, headliner, belts, radiator, steering wheel, radio, fan clutch, rear end drum to drum(it was leaking oil from where the axle tube slides into the pumpkin), exhaust from the manifold back, mounted bucket seats on the factory 50/50 split bench base, and yes they are still power seats, and center console, and 15x8 suburban wheels with bfg 255/60-15s... i hope you all like it i am fighting to save it. i have only had the car 10 months. i have spent about 1500 on it so far.

    Love the car!

Re: the plastic panel...are you referring to the "D pillar trim finish panel" that covers the rear (steel) pillar or the "quarter lower trim finish panel" that is between the side glass and the floor?
