Does anyone know if the steering wheel horn ring from a '64 will fit my '65? The restoration guys seem to have forgotten this model... it's hard to find some parts.

    horn ring Falcon '65

this is a two spoke... 16 in. diameter. It's on a Falcon Futura station wagon.... nothing fancy like on the Sprint, just a plain black steering wheel. I'd thought about changing wheels, but with the turning diameter so large, the 16 in. seemed better than the 15 in. advertised ones.
The spokes are pretty much opposite each other... I thought I saw a photo of a '64 and the horn ring looked like a fit a wheel that had spokes that were slightly angled... is that what you think too ? Or was the photo just off center or something ?

I don't see why they wouldn't fit. '64 to '65 was not a big design change year and unless Ford had to make changes, they usually waited for retooling years to change something like the steering column.
You should remember that many of the parts for that car can also be sourced through Mercury Comet and Ford Mustang parts houses as they both shared many parts and bits (except badges, chrome and sheetmetal of course.).

So... for your horn ring. If the center badge is a screw in fit.... it's a safe bet you can find the same darned thing in a Mercury Comet! :)

if its just the 2 spoke...then your limited to the 2 styles.
there was the one that went across the wheel..with the thin half hoop...and the other was a small center horn button

you can actually put the others on...but they may look odd...but then so am i :biglaugh:

Have you tried some of the NOS Ford parts companies?

Or, call Dennis Carpenter. They have NOS stuff not listed in their print catalogs. They usually want a lot for their NOS parts, but maybe they can tell you what fits and give you a part # to help in your search.
