    I think the double trim strip on the fender identifies it as a Mercury, but, I can't tell if its got the 42 grille or the 46-48 Mercury grille.

    -----------I have a 1946 Mercury coupe. it is not a 46-48 American Mercury. The short hood and fenders makes me think it's a Ford. Maybe Canadian? Around 1942-43? I nearly bought a 1942 Mercury coupe and sort of remember that style grille. So don't know.

    ------My first car was a 1949 Dodge Coronet coupe with a back seat. Short roof and longer trunk looked like no back seat. Made it nice at the drive inn movie-----watching movies! Six with fluid drive.Uggggg!:rofl2:
