or anytime really! I just looked out my kitchen window and saw a sight that gave me goosebumps, the good kind! hhhaaaa There's nothing that brings a smile to this woman face faster then seeing those chrome rims shining in the morning sun. There is a little fog this morning and the sun is just starting to shine between the trees and bam! Chrome sparklin! I gave Allover a bubble bath last night, buffed up the rims, detailed the tires and dash...oooh can't wait to get in and smell that coconuty polish. I used ArmorAll car wash, I don't know if it's the best stuff but it sure removes the road junk of his lower body without to much effort. The rest of the detailing is all Mothers brand, I really like the results. The black plastic trim around the back windows had started to fade and turn grey, the local body shop guy got me onto Back to Black...it worked really well...it's back to the black the way it should be, still pitted, but black. Anyway got to go to work. MMM get to smell the coconuty polish all the way... kinda like aromatherapy on my way to work Have a nice day guys, play nice...
Sounds as good as waxing all day Saturday with McGuire's three-step and barbequeing pork ribs ... and then eating 'em without washing ones hands .... something about that smell!
I had just polished the wire wheels and white walls of the Poncho but I looked out the windows yesterday morning to a grey haze reminiscent of being trapped in limbo. It was a fog so thick I couldn't see more than 2 feet. Sigh, no shiny wheels for Wiz.
Way Up North You people way up there in that far off place need to wander down to Florida. We can see chrome wheels for miles and miles!
Great write-up Fannie! I have to beg my wife to run her Grand Prix through the gas station automatic wash....... -Mike
Fortunately our fog burned off in a couple of hours and we wound up with a blisteringly hot day. Way too warm to stare at my shiny wire wheels like I would have liked. I did my my Roadie's roof rack with Back to Black today. I usually have a lot of trouble with B2B and everything comes out all streaky when i do smooth plastic. I had much better luck today for some reason. Can't wait to get the rack back on the roof to see how it looks.
Still don't have a wagon to put the rack back onto. The roof rack looks pretty decent leaning against the wall of the garage. I'm not a huge fan of Back To Black since it can be tough to get streak off of smooth surfaces but it came out pretty good this time.
Still at the worlds slowest body shop I'm afraid. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=136908&postcount=201
