Just bought a 96 RMW. Already own a 70 Chevelle wagon and figured I'd buy another. I'm joining all the groups possible so as to have as many resources as possible to find parts and keep this on the road. If anyone near eastern PA ever parts out a wagon, give me a shout! Thanks for having me, Bryan Attached a pic of my 70 Wagon and 70 Shasta. We love the vintage camping thing.
I saw this car and trailer in AutoRestorer's Magazine the July issue. It was associated with an insurance article and the owners' difficulty in obtaining classic car insurance. The issue was the insurance complanies would not insure the car as a classic nor value it as such as it had a trailer hitch. Nice ride and
I think it has to do with how the photo is set up. I've seen some other photos that were made to look like miniatures, but I can't remember what the process is called. It's the opposite of the guy who photographed all the diecast models with handmade buildings that looked real (the were in another thred some time ago, I think). As a model car builder, I'm coming at this from another direction. as far as I know, no company has ever made a model kit of that Chevelle wagon or that particular trailer. (If those are models, they are serious modifications with a lot of handmade parts...)
Thanks for the welcome guys. Yea I'm the guy who has been challenging all the insurance companies to cover my wagon and trailer with a declared value. Figured I'd take it to the magazines for some help. I got covered through Condon and Skelly. Hey Stickman I think we may have chatted on another forum in the past. Good to here from a neighbor. As far as the minature looking photo you can go to tiltshiftmaker.com and make your own. Pretty cool. I'm an Art Director for a marketing firm and am always playing around with new art and design programs. I'll be stopping by once in a while to check what's up. Later. Bryan
