This is Chris. He owns Sea Sonic boat company. www.seasonicboats.com. Anyway, he designed and built this boat he is in. It's ALL wood. All Mahogany. He did it by himself. This particular boat he is in is worth $425,000. It's about as much luxury as you can get. With 2 496 Mercruisers that is. He also ownes that Italian Riva, a 59 El Camino and a '58 Pontiac wagon. It was cool to meet such a like minded individual. Especially a Swiss one. Anyway, we'll meet Chris again later.
Later that night, we went to the awards banquet at a local golf course, that you can get to by boat. It was pretty cool. Anyway, here is me drooling and giddy while in control of that same $425,000 boat! It was alot easier to drive with a boner than I thought it would be! This is Chris, wood working God. Say hi.
On Sunday, we spent the morning burning around the many coves of the Shuswap. We had a lunch time reservation ot the "Shark shack", which is a floating restaraunt in the middle of the lake.
Anyway, the day turned sour. We were all moored along the Shark Shacks docks, about a million dollars worth of us, and so the "No Wake" signs went up. Apperantly, the employees yelling at people and the signs weren't enough for this one fu**in no neck, gold chain, Affliction shiny shirt wearing douchebag in his wake board boat didn't clue in, and rocked the **** out of our boats. UNFORTUNATLY, the waves were enough that it ripped my stern cleat right off my boat! Wood and all. I nearly cried right there on the dock. Wood in one hand, chrome cleat in the other. And then came Chris to the rescue. "Bring it to my house tonight on your way home. I can fix it." So I did. Here are some pictures of my near fatal break down. Chris mixed up some epoxy, and got to doing some puzzle assembly. Luckily we had all the pieces. Done! Damn near as good as new. And probably alot stronger as well! And that completes my weekend! Thanks for looking!!
Looks like an outstanding weekend, Stove. Wow!!!! And what are you hauling the boat around with? And that yellow IH, is that a for sale sign in the window? I've got a buddy who may be looking. Thanks for sharing the pics. Glad the boat is fixed. Now go find the jerk with the fancy boat and no brain and sink his boat.
The funny thing was we hear the guy, we never saw him, so everyone was gonna lynch the guy, but we didn't know which guy to lynch. As for towing, I'm just using my Silverado. My wagon is going to be going in for paint. Pictures of THAT, to come soon.
