This is the absolute hardest part of building a Truckster, the trim. I don't even know how much time I have in all this, but I do know it took me all day just to woodgrain all 94 pieces!!

Thanks guys! Here is a pic of a couple of completed pieces, kinda hard to photograph but I think you get the idea. And yeah, I cast about 45 or so corners and special pieces.

What did you use for background, woodgraining stain and final clear coat(s)?

Beautifully done. I'm really stuck for words. You've proven a little guy can eat the big guy's lunch!

The base color is a tan single stage enamel (DuPont Centari), the woodgraining was done with brown basecoat with a paintbrush. I would put paint on the brush then wipe almost all of the paint off leaving very little paint on the brush then "dry brush" the woodgrain on. It's time consuming but I think it works pretty well. Then I cleared all the pieces with urethane clear automotive paint.

So you didn't need a clear coat?

Urethane clear coat. I'll have to check my can, yours make more sense. I think mine was an exterior alkyd-based lacquer (satin). Thanks.

Ok, so I've been working stupid amounts of time on this thing trying to get it done and realized I haven't posted any progress pics. Sooooo......I've got the rear side windows in, the interior trim pieces around the rear windows and headliner is in, and the front bumper is back from the chrome shop. It's starting to come together now!
