This is a one and only built for the Lincoln dealers as a possible new car addition to their 1978 line of new autos, manufactored in Detroit, MI in 1978 and displayed via brochure and in person to dealers. at the time due to extensive costs to produce the vehicle it was terminated and was sent to Las Vegas for sale to a noted celebrity , in late 1978 it wes resold and I became the new owner, this is a real eyeball vehicle all Lincoln and Mercury parts and very low mileage 11,000 since new, further details and photos availabel.

I had these two pics on file. Let's see if his 78 is a different wagon.

There was another guy that joined up here a coupleof years ago, who owned that wagon. Shortly thereafter, he put it up for sale.

Question is.....is this Gary's wagon? I'm leaning to 'yes' since they're both in Northern California.

Also Gary - I do not think the Ford Motor Company had anything to do with the construction of this vehicle, other than manufacturing the original parts. The 'wagon' -specific parts came from a '72 - 78 Ford Torino / LTDII - like this:

By the time that Lincoln was put together, the LTDII was out of production.
This Lincoln was probably ordered from a coachbuilder, either by a rich wagon aficianado or by a Lincoln dealer as a showroom traffic-builder.

But regardless of how it came to be, it's a beautiful wagon and you should be proud to own it.

    Welcome, Gary.

    Sounds like it's for sale...???:hmmm:

And no pics :naughty:.... That would be like, A guy from Brussels maybe posting that he has maybe 2 rare Jaguar wagons and not posting a picture for proof...and the guy from Brussels didn't even leave a phone number but he left pics!
