Well guys, I have to tell ya, it was SICK!!! I walked around for 4 hours on an airfield just outside Västerås, and it was hotter than a camel´s fart in Tchad, and I just did not managed to take any more pictures, but I got you guys some good one´s and I hope you all enjoy them. Some people said it were well over 10,000 cars there, and about 98% american iron, and I do believe them. So, if you are planning on a european trip next year, DO NOT MISS POWER BIG MEET IN VÄSTERÅS, or you´ll be so very very sorry.... https://picasaweb.google.com/112771624378728314504/20110716Roadtrip2011?authkey=Gv1sRgCPHnypim4ryhLg Click the link
Well, nik...when you look at the background in those pix it looks like ALL of Sweden was parked there! That's a LOT of cars and people. We have shows here that have wagons but I see many of the most desirable one's sitting over there on YOUR rock! Great stuff and thanks for thinking of us!
Just read on the official homepage that there were over 20,000 cars during thursday til saturday, and even some enthusiasts from Russia with american iron. Glasnost anybody?
We were there a few years ago... It was HUGE!!!!! As soon as Duke can walk by himself (now he needs our hand, walker cart or table) we will go there again!
One hour drive to Brussels, 2 hours flight to Stockholm. Then my brother and his family who stayed there at a camping site picked us up from the airport. I think the camping site was an hour away from Vasteras but I cannot remember very well. Maybe next time we will drive instead of fly... But that's nearly 1000 miles AND we have to take a ferry...
More wagons from Power Big Meet Here are some more wagons from Västerås Sweden. Most are from 2011, a few from 2010. Enjoy.
