Hey guys. it's an excuse to drive the wagons! Good music, nice cars, great scenery. Sounds like a road trip. I'm just guessing here. Except we are headed for Illinois in a pick up truck!:)

Each and everytime you are able to take a road trip, no matter how short, do it! There will come a time when you will not, for a million reasons. :yippee:

If you don't go, a month from now the memories of this weekend won't be anything special. If you do go, your little one very well may have memories for the rest of her/his life about it. Based on that, it's a no brainer. Go and have some fun!!

Actually, I should really update that. I had an apartment in the West Village on Jane St until last April when I sold it. Now I'm out in the burbs in Cranford, New Jersey, about 15 miles outside the city. When were you in Staten Island? I was sales manager at Focaro Ford/Island Ford on Richmond Avenue near the mall from 1983 until 1992. (Yeah, I'm old!!) Then I went to Aspen Ford in Bay Ridge on 65th St from 92 until 95.

it's a small world . i used to spend most of my time in jersey worked up and down from asbury park ,deal , ocean up to mahwah and danville. in 84 i got married and lived right off victory blvd in travis . right where the vol fire house was . used to go into island ford to check out the svo mustang they had sitting on the lot , i bought a saleen instead of the svo but we may have met a few decades ago--- man thats makes me feel old

well we made the trip and i made the cruise. i was the only car on the cruise that went up the mountain . brasstown bald highest point in ga it was awesome. took the kid to tons of things including jimmy carter historical site ,mlk birthplace six flags over atlanta ,ga aquarium, varsity drive in in atlanta ,kennesaw mountain national historic site ,The Big Chicken in marietta ga, dixie highway to rock city ,scenic highways to dahlonega ga ,hiawassee ,helen ,summit racing ,in McDonough Ga and andersonville national historic site for her 4th ranger badge of the trip and the 150th civil war jr historian badge , even the wife had a good time it was awesome ,1700 + miles avg 16.5 mpg even had it up to about 110 .. the first pic is coming down Brasstown Bald mountain clouds made it interesting . big daddy's in ocala saw him leaving as we were going in. a ride in 6 flags my kid went on not me or her mom. last pic is from the top of the mountain looking down to the parking lot , you can just see the white roof above the trees in the 2nd row
