Replaced the rear wheel cylinders and brake hardware on my 95 roadmaster wagon. Any tips on bleeding the system. I've done the traditional brake bleeding and have good fluid flow out of all lines except I have no rear brakes and the brake dash light is on.

I assume there is air in the system, I'm guessing in the proportioning valve or something cause I can bleed the rear lines and have brakes for a minute and then they out again and the light comes back on.

How much fluid have you bled through the system?
Do you do one side at a time?

    Does the pedal stay firm?

It's firm when it gets to I assume the front brakes working, but a soft pedal when you start braking, if that makes sense.

Finally got it. Just had to bleed, bleed and bleed some more. Guess it helps to run the motor and bleed it that way. Guess I'm use to the old stuff. thanks for the replys.

I've never had to run the motor, but maybe having the vacuum helped?

Yea, as soon as I done that (started it) and had the wife pump up the brakes, I got air out of the rear bleeders. I kind of scratched my head on that, but it worked.
