I caution you against using SUNMAN FORD SALVAGE in Oklahoma. I ordered a set of jump seats in March. They told me how "lucky" I was that I contacted them, that they had just pulled a complete set from a vehicle and could ship immediately. 3 months later, I have received the seats but am missing all the decking and mounting brackets. I paid for all these items, they never shipped them and the few times I have been lucky enough to reach them by phone, they give me excuse after excuse. After I became concerned, I looked on yahoo for reviews. I found half a dozen, all horrible with similar stories of being ripped off. BEWARE SUNMAN FORD. I can forward Emails to provide evidence of my plight.

Any one know where there is a set of 1966 Ford wagon 3rd row seats?

    Regards,
    Richard

Good post, Richard. Your notation of displeasure is not the first nor will it be the last regarding these rip off artists. The Internet is full of complaints about Sunman Ford. If I was Ford I would make them take the name Ford off their company name. I would love to send some of my friends to pay a visit to these people and convince them to settle the deals with those people they ripped off. It would do my heart good. I really, really hate people that have no feelings for others and spend their lifetime doing nothing but lying to and stealing from honest and unsuspecting people. They are the bottom feeding scum of the earth and deserve a serious wake up call.

Sometimes it pays to make a personal visit. I know orange country is a long way, but if a few more people would show up on their doorstep, maybe they would get the message. I don't like buying large items without looking at them. I got a pair of Falcon/Comet bucket seats from a guy in Tn. Price was right however shipping cost more than the seats. He was a really good guy, because 2 of the hinge covers were missing and he sent me a new repo pair right away. Mail order can be ok, but not all the time,
    Dave

Law enforcement will NOT get involved, they'll call it a civil matter and tell you to hire a lawyer. Yet another example of donut-eaters in action.

    update on sunman ford

Their web site has been down for a few weeks. Looks like someone is not paying their bills! Hopefully this is the end of their sorry, worthless ***es. If they reappear with a new name but same location, keep an eye out. Their online reputation is so bad, I expect them to resurface with a new identity. According to my last phone conversation with them a few months ago, their building was burnt down. I googled the address and found a local paper that wrote about a fire that burned down a hotel at that address. Not sure if they were working out of it. Hope so. Sounds like they may have ripped off the wrong guy. What goes around, comes around.

Thats too bad to hear about your bad fortune with Sunman. I got what I paid for with them for parts for my 67 S-55. But then again, I was in the OKC area at the time and I went in person. The hotel they were working out of was an old brick building from the heyday of Seminole, OK and had like a hall or theater or so where they stored alot of stuff.

Sam, the owner was cool, BUT he was in bad health and maybe that has something to do with it. They took me to their yard which had quite a few neat oldies and not just Ford stuff. Maybe things have changed since I was there in Nov. 2009?

Richard, I don't know if you got your seats, but this guy in Deming, NM off I-10 is advertising a 67 wagon with rear seats. He always has had parts cars for sale for a few years now. If you read this ad it says he still has it, so maybe he'll see you the seats...I dunno? Check it out.

You may be able to take a road trip out there and some back with some extras. Deming is between Tucson and El Paso.

67 Ford Country Sedan Galaxie wagon ,Parting it out. (Deming NM)

The owner of Sunman was dying of Lyme disease. It's his kids/family that screwed the company up and made a mess of the vehicles. I wouldn't do business with them now, but they did have a white Ranchero with perfect fenders for my sedan and I wish I had bought them a couple years back before the guy got bit and fell ill.

Try John's Salvage in Seguin Texas. Their prices are all over the map, but the yard itself is outstanding and full of old cars.

Here's a thread with pics from my last trip to John's. It's so fun to walk through. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13611

There are also some good links to some other great Texas yards that deal with older cars in that same thread toward the end.

Hate to hear you got burned!
