That it's now in my grubby little hands!! I paid a little more than I wanted to for it but that's OK. It's a pretty good wagon,it only has 75K. The seller put a fresh battery in it and it ran very smooth considering it hadn't been started in at least a year. It's sitting next to my 73 Ford in the garage now. It needs the A/C fixed, and I am going to spray some paint on the C-piller covers. I have to put new struts in the liftgate and new wiperblades, the tires are OK. The dashpad is dried out and discolored, and the backseat latch is broken. I removed the luggage rack bars for now because one of the holddowns is missing. I hope to have it on the road within a week or two. The side moulding rubber is held on with a bunch of screws but other then that the car will clean up good I believe....
Cool score. Glad you got a late model. The LT-1 is a good motor. Check the water pump for leakage. If the distributor cap had not been updated, and gets water in it, it will seize the distributor bearing. This fault will kill your engine and not set a code. It will hard fail and the diagnostic will leave you beating your brains out. Learned that one the hard way, had to be towed from Portland to Seattle...
i think he had the same issue with his as i did with me green caprice. if you recall i had to swap out my opti. it went bad from sitting.
What is it with people and screwing the trim on? My '94 Roadie's the same way. Some schmuck put self tapping screws through anything that was a little loose. Stainless/rubber trim, door panels, armrests...
Screw This ! -Yea, it doesn't make sense. There are so many good glues out now days you could almost glue the engine and tranny together!
