I recently became the second owner of a 1976 Buick Estate Wagon. Stored for 30 years in a barn, no rust, all original. 77k miles.
My guess is that they just got used up like most station wagons. You're right in that I've been to many Oldsmobile car shows over the last 20 years, and I've never, ever seen a Custom Cruiser of any year. Vista Cruisers, yes, and the occasional wagon from the '50s or early '60s, but that's it. I've been told they make great demolition derby cars, which breaks my heart just to think about.

The last few years the older one's have started getting higher prices but mid '70's to late '80's are relativly cheap in my opinion and haven't gained the respect they deserve except here!
to the wagon train, 76BE. Nice wagon. Glad you joined us. And .... as soon as I get to Ohio again I'm going to steal Jaunt's wagon.
I have a '83 caprice I am in the process of putting a engine in now.I picked it up back in febuary. It is my first wagon and I bought it as scrap because it was going to the crusher because of blown head gasket.
