Picked up this '56 Chevy the other week. It's a 4dr that someone has done a 2dr conversion on and filled the back windows for the sedan delivery effect. The door swap looks pretty fair and over-all it has really solid tin with some floor patches and rockers already replaced. We plan on making it hard to drive with too much power. We'll be collecting parts all Summer then next Fall we'll tear the shell off and give it a serious housing.
'56 has GOT TO BE my all time Fave of them 3 yearz no matter what body style:2_thumbs_up_-_anima Great score Pat
Heavy Metal... I loved that show. Saw it for the first time at a drive in with my big brother. Great soundtrack!
Still really in the planning stages but I'm leaning towards satin black with gold metal flake accents. It's really hard for us to not just dive into this project but we need to finish our altered wagon before anything else happens.
Sweet old Wagon ..... 'House-of-tractor-black' is real inexpensive and last a loooong time to. So, how much power is to much?
"Too much power". Ha! Pat, you're the limit! Congrats on the new project. A '56 2-door has always been on my Top 5 list. Hope you guys have a blast with it. Have you already posted pix of the Altered here? I don't think I've seen it yet...
I thought I had posted a link to my build blog somewhere along the way. It;ll be a real crowd pleaser when its done. I'm planning on racing it a bit before paint goes down though since I'm really anxious to see how it handles (or doesn't). The '56 will really be a bad street machine that gets thrashed drag racing on a regular basis. Whereas the altered is pretty much all straight line action. http://alteredwagon.blogspot.com/
watched it the other nite i didnt even have to read this....i coulda predicted it =I cant believe John sold that so cheap.....specially to you Pat...as always....your the wind beneath my wings
