Here's the wagon I'm looking at. It's going to need some TLC but it runs and drives great. The guy who owns it is a friend of the family and he had got it from his Uncle a few years back. It hasn't been registered since 2009, and it's been sitting outside. It's pretty dirty outside, but I think it will clean up pretty good. It will need new tires and A/C compressor, plus fluid changing etc. But I can get it quite reasonable. I hope it all works out to where I can get this one.

Doesn't look like anything a little elbow grease and a good wagon owner couldn't fix :thumbs2: Hope everything works out for you!

From what I have read and understand from Roady owners, these are gentle giants and just are hard working wagons. Also everyone I have found that owns one, really dose not want to give them up...........

    I would like one myself.

You will LOVE IT. Mine is the best car I've ever owned. Such fun and so useful, and very reliable too. Get it!

    Some tips:
Grey double-stick 3M mounting tape (sold at most chain auto parts stores) works really well to get all the lower body black rub strips back on the chrome on these cars. Just make sure to get both mounting surfaces and clean as possible.

The upper trim that outlines the woodgrain also peels like crazy. On mine I peeled as much of the wood/tape off as I could and then did a light sanding, and taped it off and painted it with a satin color called Nutmeg I found at Lowe's. See the pics above. After doing that I learned you can use paint remover and the trim under that polishes up really well, if you want a chrome look.

That car you are looking at is one of the most rare colors. Very pretty! Good luck with it and feel free to ask questions. I love these!

I've got links about fixing the upper chrome on the front bumper, re-dyeing the steering wheels, and repairing loose door panels and window regulators.

Let me know if you need an tips and again good luck!

Ran the VIN # on the Compnine site. It's one of 886 painted Jadestone that year. It also has a tow package. Ran a carfax also and it checked out good. Selling the '85 wagon this week, probably going to get this Roadmaster soon....

Better grab it before someone else does, HH. At least put money down to hold it if you want it.

Already talked to him. :) He's a friend of the family, the car wasn't even advertised and it sat behind a chain link fence. It hasn't been registered since 2008.
