:cheers:Swap the Buick for another Caddy and you'll have......

    wait for it......

    A Caddy Shack.....:rofl2:

I know, that is really bad.

But the gasoline shock can be lessened by simply purchasing EXXON/Mobil stock. The dividends ought to be great this year.

    candidate

Does $86.00 to fill up make me a candidate? Having not driven from my shop to home in the wagon yet, I hope it will be enough; I am about to find out.

That's a good story. I found that car in California, LA, but it came from Barstow. Got it back in 2003, when it had 38K miles on it. Drove it back to Texas via Las Vegas. My good buddy Ben in New Jersey wanted it. I did some minor work on it, and it went to New Jersey in 2004.

In 2005 Ben called me to tell me he was moving and no longer would have a garage for the Buick. He was going to sell it unless I wanted it back, as he didn't want it to be outside in New Jersey. I flew to NJ and brought it back to Texas, and have had it every since. We never exchanged money and he still has the title. He sends me the new registration every year.

I use the car for car shows and to take up in the hills on weekends. It only has 50K miles on it now. Ben comes down every spring to ride motorcycles in the Texas Hill Country with me, and drives the Buick when he's here. Other than that, it's my toy. I love the old beast.

    Funny how things work out!

ps, I think the plates add to the mobster feel too. When I drive it to work my friends ask me if there are any bodies in the trunk. Hahahaha!

Really well. New exhaust manifold is installed and brakes are done. I've still got to tackle the transmission leak and sort out the cruise control, but the car drives super now and is SO quiet.

    Such fun!
