They blame our long winters.

    Maybe they have a point.

    That's a shame.....

We lost our last one here in Orange County (calif) a few years ago, after it was relgated to 'swap meet' service. Being in Southern California all my life, I can think of numerous locations where they used to be.......
Olympic Drive In, corner Bundy / Olympic Bl in West LA - Been Martin Cadillac for years
Culver Drive In on Sepulveda in Culver City
    - Now a bunch of condos
Hwy 39 Drive In on Beach Bl in Westminster
    - Now a Wal Mart / Home Depot (this was one of the last to go......)
    .
    Many others.......

One new innovation - The Orange County Fairgrounds is now hosting 'drive in nights' in the parking lot, using a large inflatable screen.

They usually go porno, then swap meets before selling out!

Since you're here, what do you know about Fox-body speedo tripmeters? 1978-1982. Round type, not the newer rectangular ones. I've got the 160 kmh/100 mph in mine, and the lower one from the 1978 donor (was the 3.3L six).
