I've got a 1980 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country wagon that I've had since Nov '07. It has a 225 auto, with air, cruise, tilt, pdl, pw, p driver seat, AM/FM/8-track (works!), chronometer, luggage rack, rear window wiper/washer, remote liftgate opener, rear defroster, 5/5-spoke aluminum wheels. and of course, the woodgrain sides!

The PO rebuilt the 225 in 1997 and reinstalled the engine, basically bolting everything up. He died before it got back on the road, so his widow parked it in front of their house and did not touch it again. He had not finished re-attaching the harness, and little critters ate up much of the underhood harness. So, I found a harness from another '80 6-cylinder car in Illinois, wired things back up, and got the car to fire off, but not run. Right now, the carb is off the car for a rebuild, as it was not getting fuel. Once it's back on, the car should run just fine. I'll probably take the tank off and vat it, just to get whatever crap might be in it, out.

I bought the car originally to get the wheels and put them on my wife's
'78 New Yorker Brougham. I was going to just scrap the rest of the car, but this thing kinda grew on me! So, I'm going to put it back on the road. The body is in fantastic condition! This is about as no-rust as you will find! Under the car, things are like new! The exterior, though, looks kinda ratty, but that's due to the very faded woodgrain and the fake ash that needs rehabbing. The paint buffs out very nicely! All of the glass is intact. The front seat needs to be redone on the driver's side. The rest of the interior - even the headliner - is in great shape!

    This is the '80 T & C wagon.:yippee:

This is my '67 Polara wagon. It's a 383 auto 9-passenger car, with air, clock, AM, cop caps & trim rings, bumper guards, and carpeting. I sold it to a family near Pomoroy, Ohio in 2002. It's quite a car!!!

Other wagons I've owned include a 1967 Belvedere I six-passenger wagon I bought in Antwerp, Belgium in 1990. It was a black 225 3-speed car, with clock, HD heater, HEMI torsion bars, anti-sway bar, and HD rear springs, 200 km/h speedo, and carpet. It had a blue interior. It was one of two sold for export to two brothers in Belgium who were both undertakers. This was used as a hearse. I brought the car back to the US in 1992 and owned it until 1997, when I traded it for a paint job on my '67 GMC Suburban. The car now has a '73 360 auto in it, with Torque Thrust-D wheels.

Another was a 1963 Dodge Custom 880 six-passenger wagon, with the 383 2-bbl, auto, air, clock, AM, spinner wheel covers, and tinted windows. I bought it in 1994 in central Oklahoma for a hundred bucks, dollied it 60 miles home, put a battery and gas to it, and it ran! It had been parked for 12 years. I redid the seats, put a mean dual exhaust system on it, new tires, cop wheels, replaced all of the hoses and belts, and drove it! Sold it in '98 to a buddy who then used it for a driver, even taking it to Wisconson on a road trip, putting over 3,000 miles on it!

And there are a few others...

Welcome to the forums, Patrick. What plans do you have for the car once you get it running?

Patrick, both of them are nice wagons. Your T & C is suffering from a common problem. Good Ash is hard to find. :rofl2:

Welcome to the wagon ranch! :)

I'm just looking for pieces of ash!!!

I'll probably make it a daily driver. With gas at $3.00, and I feel it will deliver a good 18-20 mpg for the in town commuting, it will fill the bill nicely. Some of the ash is coming loose, especially on the left front door and over the left rear wheelhouse. I've seen several places that I can get the woodgrain, but I am having a bee-atch of a time finding good ash pieces. Does anyone restore these??? I was thinking of maybe getting these fixed somehow and airbrushing the existing ash parts to make it look better.

It ought to be a fun car, once I get it on the road.:whew:

Patrick, here's one who carries the 3M lines:
    http://www.stripeman.com/3m-woodgrain-vinyl.htm

The issue with 3M is that they sell through what the Printer industry call 'Converters'. They buy bulk and die-cut or make signage or restaurant/trade show displays.

    3M's site is a bit complex :banghead3: , but here's the DI-NOC Products page:
    http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/...hprint_3_0/command_AbcPageHandler/output_html

If that one doesn't work, try this and look through Converter Screen Graphics:
    http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/.../Prod-Info/Applications/Performance-Graphics/

JC Whitney carried a GM Ash vinyl, which was made for Avery Dennison, by Sharpline:
    http://www.sharpline.com/guides.html

This Wagoneer site has some kit for the mouldings:

    Avery's Graphics division:

I've got the carb rebuilt now. All I have to do is reinstall it and drain the old gas from the tank before I fire it up.
