Okay, this is pretty spammy, so alert the authorities if you must. I'll take my lumps...

But I just got my advance copy of a book I started writing a year and a half ago. It's been a long twisty ride, but worth it in every sense. I've spent the last 18 months wondering how all the elements of this project will fit together in the finished product. Today I'm happy to report my faith in my publisher was well founded (especially my editor and layout people). It looks great. Hell, it even feels and smells great! I feel 20 pounds lighter today. I won't go on any more about it here. There's planty of details on my blog (see signature), if you're interested. I just felt compelled to share my relief with someone who might understand...
    Thanks,
    Scotty AKA jangleguy

Jeez, thanks guys! Yeah, there's a serious jangle situation at my place tonight!

The book will be available wherever money is accepted, world-wide. Amazon and Barnes & Noble are now taking pre-orders at a good discount, so that's the hot set-up until April 15th.

My apologies to Canadian wagoneers who get gouged on the price. If it's any consolation, I make way less money on out-of-country sales. So I suggest planning a U.S. vacation to score your copy on the cheap, asap!

It was a really nice surprise to come on here tonight and find this welcome. I'm all warm and fuzzy now! Thanks again, everyone. Now if you'll excuse me, I believe that's the police at the door...

    Awesome !

The world has reached a point where we can have a book about station wagons being cool. How awesome is that ! Good WORK !

I seriously doubt that book will ever be written for SUVs

WagonmasterIII : Who'da thunk it'd ever happen for station wagons!
Glad we lived to see the day.
Not sure I want to see the day that SUVs are being restored, rodded, etc..

Very cool, will definitely pick up a copy! I'm working on a book project, and right now, it's a matter of working through an avalanche of details to get things ready for submission. Looking forward to reading your book. Must be a great sense of accomplishment for you, congrats!

Thanks Arvid! What an honor and a nice surprise to hear from you! Didn't know you were into wagons, too. Nice. I've admired your work for a while now...

Yeah, books are a lot more work than magazine features, but I love being able to settle in with one topic and explore it, in depth. The feeling of satisfaction upon completion is akin to firing off an engine you just built!

PM me if there's anything I can do to help with your project.
    Thanks again,
    Scotty

    Scotty,
Thanks for the kind words, I do have a '66 Belevedere wagon that I'm working on, thanks for the offer to help. I'm in a parts scrounging mode right now, but looking forward to getting on it as soon as my book is done.

Curious, how long did you take to write your book, year, two years? Again, really looking forward to checking it out, overlooked subject, glad you covered it.

    Arvid
