i was bored wondering around the internet and found this site, looks nice so i figured i might as well join so that i am not on those "mad tyte JDM yo" honda forums as much.. random blabbering.... from what i've seen so far there's a lot of nice fullsize wagons on here but not many small ones 1989 wagovan. d15b2. 5spd and of course what every DD needs: i still need to find a nice heavy duty grill for it i plan to pick up a dodge/mitsu colt-vista/expo or a impreza wagon to build as a sleeper sometime down the road
aboard mini...nope there's no random blabbering on this site...have you seen the dumb a$$ thread yet?
, , no blabbering, but alot of b-Sh**, welcome to the funny farm Neat lil' wagon you have, not many left around.
Welcome, Minimoto.... Good. Another 'smallwagon' guy..... I had a Focus wagon until late last year, now have a Chevy HHR. I like your idea on the Colt Vista / Mitsu Expo. Was mulling over some ideas I had on those myself. Wife and I had a '86 Vista back when our kids were kidletts - 1989 or so..... I liked it, except it barely had power enough to get out of it's own way behind the slushbox. My idea was to find a 4WD Vista or Expo, and put a off-roading theme on it - off-road truck tires (but only a bit bigger than stock); maybe some nice used alloys from a Galant' maybe a brush guard in the front and a nice off-road roof rack..... Should be a pretty cheap project, too........ Tough part would be finding a nice enough vehicle...... Marshall
most of them that i have found are either... minivan door -- impractical as i use both sides of my car 2wd 1.5(4g15) or 1.8(4g37?) or have a blown tranny(typical mitsu sychro problems) i had an 86 plymouth colt vista push button 4wd with a SOHC 4g63 for a day then sold/returned it(he was nice guy) after i diagnosed it because i didn't want to rebuild the tranny and put a new clutch in it, i would have been fine if it was just a clutch.
Honda wagon... God luv ya My aunt had your exact mini-wagon and in my fam, we stole it all the time as soon as we learned to drive. We couldn't kill it or the clutch, as much as we tried. Now, yeah... I have a 17 footer and love it, but the only new car I ever bought was the'96 Civic hatchback - brand spanking new and with no power steering. Five speed and never had the rear seat up. I could carry my buddy's drum kit *and* my bull*** cargo with no prob. I was the cargo guy. I know your wagon. It'll outlive us and is more fun to drive with no steering wheel dead-center that's five inches wide, so no shame in your game. Most of us don't have the garage space for one of yours - that's all that separates us from you; not love of mini-wagons. And some of us have those, too... For the record, I have a 1978 Ford Fiesta Decor edition that is cherry as hell (now). I've done everything to it and wish I could talk about it here. It's a hatch half that's probably half-length of your Honda - and same thing... swallows alot, is alive and useful as hell. A lot of us are go cart lovers - just in different forums for that. But hatches with different lives, full-sized wagons and in-between, we're there. I'm new, but these guys here are gear heads and car lovers... you'll get a lot of useful data. Kristi Edmonds, WA
to the wagon train, mini. Wagons come in all sizes and all are good. (Oh.....and fannie has the most points in the dumbass thread )
