Thank you. Yes, we are indeed a very unique (in a great way) and I am glad to be a part of the wagon family.

The college kids did change in time about the opinion on my '77. Being from "ewwww, its an old car" to "Jon, can we get a ride to the bar, it's so cool pulling up in it". "Aunt Edna" became more popular than I was. In fact before FaceBook did a crack down on "non people" profiles, Edna had her own page for a bit with about 100-120 friends.

You're preaching to the choir, Fox.
My point is that I would bet these guys would be willing to sell most anything not needed to make it go. Drivelines aren't in short supply so unless one of us wagoneers steps up to buy or buy parts these things would slowly return to the earth anyway.
If the cars are saveable and it offends then someone needs to put their money where their mouth is. I don't see any of us loading a car carrier.
I don't need to point out how hard a life most wagons have led. Also, bear in mind how much nicer cars always look in photos. It's comforting to think they were beyond reasonable hope anyway.
The various crusher programs account for lots more RUNNING cars being destroyed. We can do something about that with only a vote.

You know something? in the UK they are having the same problems with guys using classic cars for the same purpose and many of them are really valuable cars, the more more valuable the more crowd loves it. So a lot of 50-60's English cars such as Daimlers ,bentleys and so on have been reduced to useless trash for the sake of noneckentertainment .
one the journalists in an English classic car mag had his 70's model Ford Granada stolen and it turned up 3 years later in a banger race... so watch out if you have a stash of projects parked up somewhere.
