Have you pulled yours and looked at it? They really are pretty simple. When I needed one for my Vista, I scoured and finally found one. Got it, took the other one out fixed it and put it back in. Just needed a new bit of solder on one connection. So now I've got a spare... (Just no vista...) I only bought one because I liked the idea of having it ready to put when I pulled it.... Should have saved the $.

Hmmm... OK, so it's just not long enough. The float part is easy enough to extend, just get a longer rod. The pickup is harder... Any chance you can ad a longer pickup tube?
