Name's Daniel. I have a long long love-affair with cars. My older brother was an addict at age three and I caught the bug early. Dad was in the Coast Guard so when we got transferred every 18 months or so, it was always from one coast to the other. I've been across country 11 times by car. Most of those times were by station wagon. 53 Ford Ranch Wagon, 56 Buick wagon, 59 Buick wagon with a 455ci. I can remember sleeping on the back floor and using the drive-shaft tunnel as a pillow. My first car was a 28 Ford Sedan Delivery basket case which I never drove. At 16 I bought a 51 Chevy and then a 51 Merc woody. I bought it in 1963. I was the second owner. It was a 9 passenger. The rear seat had never been sat in. It had a sunvisor and fenderskirts. Of course, I still miss it. My next wagon was in my VW stage. It was a 72 VW Squareback. Oh, I also had a 61 VW panel truck. Now I'm back to a Buick. In November 2010, I bought a 96 BMW, gold with the wood. 98,000 mi. A SoCal car. One owner, then a dealership owner had it for 3 years. He used it to go from LA to Phoenix, while he cherry'd it out. Almost everything works the way I want it to. I'll be modifying it some, like lowering it and changing the mufflers and adding a roll pan and wheels and tires, etc. I'm sure that I'll be tapping into yawl's expertise as I go along. Off subject, my still-older brother and I restore vintage travel trailers. We have about a dozen in the works from 1937 to 1962. My other daily driver is a 51 Studebaker Starlight Coupe. Thanks in advance...

JoeDsKid Photos Sorry I know I shoulda put pictures in right off. I remembered just as I entered my initial post. Here ya go. I can only post five, so I'll add a couple more in a minute. Daniel
Great shots. I'm sure you wish you had that Merc today. Hey SAf57, where are you? Check out the trailer. (JoeD, Saf57 has a vintage AirStream and he pulls it with his '57 Pontiac wagon.)
I tried sending more but no luck so far. The trailer is a 1937 Royal Wilhelm made in Sturgis, Mich. It's masonite covered and the only 19' one left. There's only one other Royal and it's 21'. The pickup is a 57 Cameo restored. I'll try more pictures. Daniel
