Hogmess was a term that my Dad used when he was trying to straighten out any type of electrical wiring or improperly repaired equipment. Remember hogs on a farm were usually wallowing around in a mud hole with lots of food that was thrown in with them. Lots of my friends over the years have also started using this term especially in the garage where I used to work when they came across a car that had lots of jury rigging that took forever and 3 mechanics to figure out. When no other cussing, ranting or raving would explain this situation it was called a HOGMESS. Since I work on a lot of old cars, I find lots of HOGMESSES to straighten out.
