Why does your girlfriend think your nuts??? Because your on this site? Because you have sooo many cars? Because you just bought another one and it's a wagon? Or because you didn't share any pictures of any of them?:D

Welcome!! I'm working on an 80 Malibu and doing a V8 swap with a 200r4. Sounds like you found a great car. Some of us had to start with something a bit more rough.

Shoot me a pm if you have any questions. I switched the front suspension to Moog 5660 (cut 1 and 1/2 coils) and 5661's on the rear. The 5660 is a spring many malibu owners have switched to. Much stiffer than the 348 lb Malibu spring (Moog 5660 is 639). The v6 springs are a bit weak for V8 use. You can see some other examples on Maliburacing.com. Haven't driven mine yet since I just got the motor in last night. Lots to do before the first trip out. Owners that have switched to the 5660 seem to like the ride much better.

Good luck on your project. Of course none of us believe you have a wagon without pictures................:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

    Hey there,

I recently purchased a 83 'bu myself but I got to say the handling on mine is fantastic. Don't have any advice to give but I do know my car recently had new shocks put in the front end, lowered 2 inches and is sitting on 14 inch cragars. The rear also has new air shocks.

Perhaps new makes a world of a difference? Not sure on the lowering if it helps at all but I can't complain, it rides almost as good as my caddy.
