I've had three of those years.. A '68 1800S, a '68 122 2 door and a 67 122 wagon. They are very easy to work on and VERY rugged. Remember that Sweden is very similar to Alaska, when those cars were built, most of the roads in Sweden were unpaved (they might still be) and you could come around a corner and find a moose standing in the road any day.

    Vikings build tough cars! :yippee:
I'm lucky enough to live about 20 minutes from IPD ( ipdusa.com ), so it was easy to get any parts I needed, A couple of years ago I was at thier annual "Garage sale/Car show" and saw a '68 122 wagon with a Supercharged Riviera 2.8 V6. It looked like it was born there. The Buick V6 swap is pretty common but the supercharged Riv motor is major Eye candy.....

The B18 4 cyl. in these cars weighs the same as a chevy small block! It's actually half of a V8 truck motor, you wouldn't believe the size of the bearing journals. in fact the highest documented milage car on the planet is an 1800 with an B18, it's pushing 3 million miles if I remember correctly.

I've been working 12-13 hour days and haven't had the chance to contact the owner. I really need something that gets better MPG than the Eagle and my 11 MPG van. I need something I can get in a drive without doing a bunch of work. I will try and contact him this week.
