question for the B body boys

    so...ive got a 91 Roady that ive decided to drive for the winter.:yup:

    and heres my dilema...it has but one O2 sensor on the drivers side pipe..
    ..it also has a length of wire hanging off it..
    ...it does NOT however seem to be attached to anything..:slap:
    and for all my searching...i cannot find the other darn end ...:rofl2:

    so...anyone got one of that vintage that they could look to see where that other bleedin end comes from?>??

    have i mentioned lately how much i like my Fords??...:yahoo:

    my friend mike has a 91 ill have him take a look and see where it goes when i get home tonight.

    Are you saying it's not connected at all? I can't help you there if that's the case. But if it's got a wire or two (out of a 4 wire harness) that are not connected, it might be that someone replaced a two wire sensor with a 4 wire sensor. (Passive heating vs powered heating on the O2 sensors)

    Are you talking about on the tail pipe section it self?? I will look on mine as well when I get home and see if it is still there

    its got a ONE wire O2 sensor up on the drivers side right off the exhaust pipe after the manifold.....but no matter how many wires it COULD have:D....i cannot for the life of me find the other end that would come out of the harness:whew:

    Im just wondering if its hidden somewhere....you know...the GM gawds screwing with me so to make sure i NEVER buy another GM...:rofl:....cuz man....the gas milage sucks the big one right now:49:

    its amply known as Roadkill....i almost killed a gal with it 10 minutes after putting insurance on it:biglaugh::biglaugh:

    anyhow...I found the darn wire !!!!!.....so the hunt is over:clap:
    it was cleverly disguised as part of the crossmember....ya gotta be a bloody circus performer to get at it:rofl2:

    although the stupid "service engine" light still keeps comin on....WTH??:evilsmile:

    otherwise....crisis averted...sorta ...kinda ... almost...:biglaugh:

    You probably have to reboot the car or fiddle with some code reader, OR, something else is haunting it...:rofl2:

    My 94 G.M.C - Got Mechanic Coming cargo van has the check engine lite come on and off all the time. Nobody has been able to figure out WTF, been like that for years. Just drive it like you stole Rev!(y)

    Well it's OBD-I so it should be pretty easy to scan for codes and figure out why the check engine light is on.

    do all these B bods have goofy window problems?
    i got all the windows working....but its like they have a relay that heats up and quits for a few minutes....one minute they work great...next...theyr 1/2 way up....:mad:

    use the a/c and leave em up!

    sounds like a regulator to me
