Hi! My love affair with station wagons and sedan deliveries began with learning to drive in a 1971 Volvo 140 series wagon. Among the wagons I have owned included a 1975 Chevrolet Vega GT wagon, a 1972 Chevelle Concours wagon, a 1979 Monza wagon, a 1985 Cavalier wagon, a 1979 Caprice Classic, a 1971 Vega Panel Express, and my latest acquisition, a 1973 Pontiac Astre Panel Express. I have always liked the H-Body cars and getting this one is special. It is one of 421 Astre Panels built that year at the Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec GM manufacturing facility. It is the first year for the car in Canada. The styling, while mostly cosmetic changes from the Vega, is definately Pontiac. It has a 231 Buick V-6 engine and TH350 transmission, 1975 Buick Sky Hawk dashboard, a Hooker airdam, power steering and brakes, Camaro bucket seats, and carpeting. I live in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. I am a sign painter, pinstriper, and designer by trade. I specialize in hand lettering, pinstriping, and gold leaf. I also run a sign design service specifically focused on doing design for the trade. I am active in my Masonic Lodge, the Shriners, and belong to the Osman Shrine St. Cloud area Go Karters. I belong to the Pantowners (St Cloud Antique Auto Club) and the Osman Shrine St Cloud Zagalas (Shrine Car Club). My wife and I show dogs. We have chinese cresteds. Our hairless male is an AKC, CKC, and IABC champion as well as a UKC Grandchampion, Total Dog, and weight pulling champion. Our powderpuff bitch is is an AKC, CKC, UKC, and IABC champion, not to mention the proud mama of three new puppies... So, I will be hanging out and reading all the stuff here. I am going to kick back for a bit and hope to add some useful info to the fray.
