Here are some updated photos of my 87 Pontiac Safari wagon. I have finished welding in the floor 80% of the quarter panel and 30% of my wheel well adventures.
Part 2 of photos Here are the last of my updated photos! The first photo of the wheel well is looking right above the top of the tire. The second photo is to the right and front of the tire. Up around the 90 hour mark on the beast! Enjoy the fast forward! Enjoy:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Thanks Stormin! This is the largest body working adventure to date. I am enjoying it. Need to finish so I can pup the posi rear in and be very good in the snow coming up. Al
Thanks Rev and Stormin! My friend had bought it off an old fellow that side swiped a bunch of cars and lost his license. She had it for 4 years before I got my hands on it. I am sure it has seen some interior or back east weather with the amount of rust on the car. I am looking forward to driving her again she is really nice on the road. This 307 seems to be in excellent shape.
Welding question... I have to replace both the inner and outer wheel tub piece and was wondering if I can put the two together and weld them in at the same time with the proper heat setting to melt both pieces to the wheel tub and floor. Any help would be appreciated
Put a few poprivets in to get them close enough to weld up/braze, then run the tig/mig to wrap it up?
Hey Guys Thanks for the tip Stormin! Will try that out. With the weather right now rain and welding will not mix. Will be seeing if I can use my cousins garage to finish that off. See how it goes.
Found an inner wheel tub patch piece for my wagon on the island. Will be trimming soon and installing once the snow melts. I know it has been a while but I have been very busy with work and the weather hasn't been the nicest. Will post again soon with some updates!
