I just purchased a 67 Belvedere Wagon on Ebay as a restoration project. Car is solid and has not run for 5 years. 273 V8 is original engine. I have a 413 Wedge that I want to put in this. Does anyone know about these wagons? Any suggestions on motor swap and restoration would be appreciated. I'll post pictures when I take possession of car. Thanks!

Did you get the dark blue one from North Carolina off E-bay? I just bought a 67 Belvedere wagon this month myself. You could put just about any Mopar engine under the hood. A 440 would be a popular swap, and the 413 would be a cool swap as well. A 340 or 360 would be the easiest swap, but these days you can get a kit to simplify swaping in a big block or new Hemi.
My long range plans for the one I bought, is to swap in a newer 5.7 Hemi in there from a wrecked pickup truck. It should get decent mileage and still have alot more power and torque than the 318 now residing under the hood. I'm also hoping I can swap in the 4 bucket seat and full length console interior from a 66 Dodge Charger fastback. The floor pan would be the same and the Charger's back seats fold down like those of a wagon.

Yes, I bought the dark blue one that you saw on ebay. I've been looking for one of these for a couple years now, and although this one needs a total restoration, it is solid and everything original is on this car. Some minor rust issues on the bottoms of the doors (fixable, no problem) and interior needs to be completely redone. Frame and pans are good - no major rust issues to deal with and the back trunk area is good except for the spare tire well, which has some rust issues, but not beyond repair.
I paid $1,500.00 for this and not sure if this is a good deal or bad deal, all I know is that I am the new owner and hopefully this thing will be on the road in a year from now. Let's keep in touch and we can share our stories regarding engine swaps, etc.

Good buy Wagon King. My only problem with Belvedere's is everytime I hear the name I think of those chickens in the Foster Farm commercials.

In case some have not seen that series of commercials these two chickens want to be Foster Farm chickens and they are from Arkansas (read Tyson's) and drive a Belvedere.:biglaugh:

But, a Belvedere wagon is just soooo cool. A 413 wedge would be nice but I'm a "as it came from the factory" type. I don't remember the ebay add so post :camera: when you can.

He purchased his first. King should be helping me with mine!:)
I'm assuming King bought his first. I bought mine on June 12, and I think the e-bay auction King got his from ended before that.
Actually I hope we can both help each other out. Mine also has the spare tire well rust in the right rear quarter. It had been filled with bondo years ago. My front doors have been repaired in the past with bondo, but front doors are interchangeable with 4 door sedans and luckily, the front doors of a 4 door sedan were the same on the 66 and 67 Belvedere and Coronet. So a buddy of mine has a 4 door 67 Coronet 4 door parts car that I'm getting the front doors off of. Only the Belvedere side trim is different on the front doors from the Coronet's side trim. I can reuse the wagon's door side trim, but will have to fill in the holes for the Coronet side trim fasteners. I'm pretty lucky here cause the front doors are the only sheet metal on the entire Coronet parts car thats interchangable with the 67 Belvedere wagon and both Coronet front doors are in good shape as are the rear doors of my wagon. So the only sheet metal I need to find now is the tailgate. For my wagon I paid $2850.00 from another Station Wagon Forum member who contacted me through the forum. It runs, but the trans leaks from sitting for a long time and so does the heater coil. Both should be easilly fixable. I'll be driving it by the end of the summer. Of couse, the wagon is still in Massachusettes. I may not even see it till the end of the summer. Since the paint is a bit rough, and since the car will be sitting outside, I may go ahead and have Maaco strip it and repaint it. King's 67 is the Plymouth 67 midnight blue metallic color. After seeing pictures of King's car when it was on e-bay, I kind of thought I might have Maaco paint mine that color since I too have a blue interior.

This looks like a different blue 67 Belvedere wagon. Any of the 67 Belvedere wagon owners here going after this one for parts or to restore? I wonder if the tailgate is any good.

It's a project car, but wagons are too cool and this one has a ton of potential. Being originally powered by a 383 4bbl it is a fairly low production number as there were only 3968 total 9 passenger wagons built that year. There were only 102 383 4 bbl wagons built for US production and that includes 6 or 9 passenger models.

It's missing the original motor and transmission but I have an 8 3/4 rear end that is supposed to be the original unit. There is no suspension under the car and it had been stored up on large beams before I acquired it several years ago. The underside is really clean.

If you're interested in selling the exhaust manifolds, please PM me. I could use them on my 64 Valiant Wagon. I might also be interested in the intake manifold too. If you PM me please include a phone number I can reach you at and best time to call.

    Thanks,
    Ken Deboy

Big block swap should be pretty easy if you have all the stuff you need. Big block motor mounts, big block tranny and radiator with inlet and outlet on the proper side.

Good luck with it. Sounds like a cool project and yes, I am a big Mopar fan.:thumbs2:
