Hello all, Did anyone happen to notice the Denver Craigslist ad for a 1967 Dodge Polara Wagon with 55K miles back in August? The guy started the listing at $4500, next it went to $3900, a few more days passed and it was $3500. This young guy was aggressively trying to move this car. Not looking for another car but enjoying my 1969 Plymouth Fury this summer I happened to find the listing when it was $2300. By the time I called at day's end it had been re-listed at $2000. Colorado is one of the last states that still has plenty of near rust free old unrestored cars available. here's the story on this wagon (every car has a story). Seller was an auto buying company offering cash for any vehicle. He'd bought it together with an 90's Dodge wagon from the son of a woman who had owned them both and recently passed. The son just wanted to liquidate and now this seller needed some cash for a new deal quickly. This lady had owned the wagon since 1975, garaged the entire time. In the nineties she purchased he newer wagon but it seems she kept this 1967 Polara and drove it occasionally. Last year of plate registration was 2001 however. Receipts found in the car confirm the story and mileage. This wagon looks like it came out of a time capsule. Original down to the paint and in very good shape. The carpet looks like it will be 'as new' once I get a chance to vacuum and shampoo. Almost no wear as you normally see where your heels rest while driving. Clear plastic seat covers had been protecting the interior vinyl since the seventies - last time I saw that type of seat cover. 100% original, with factory AC, PS, PB, 383 BB, 727 auto and good original glass all around. No rust, even under rear quarters which look like they had been repaired correctly many years ago before they got bad. I still say what a steal! Although not everyone likes the wagons - that I don't understand. It screams 1960's with all the subtle lines, almost fins. Anyway, just wonder if anyone else had seen this one. This was one car that was even more than one could hope for. It is so original that I don't plan to change a thing except mount the NOS 1966 Polara hubcaps on the bare steel wheels. Paint will be kept original but protected from the elements. I love all brands of wagons though and glad to have located this site.

Every car has a story... Isn't that the truth? Fine story, and obviously came into the right hands. Good on you.
Welcome Polara. I don't know how we missed that one as more often than not, somebody will spot a beauty like that and let us all know about it. Excellent find and an even better price!! My uncle had a beige '67 Monaco, I think it was. It had wood and even back then, I thought it was gorgeous.
