It was pretty easy. Oilpan and pickup had to be swapped and wiringharnes modified. I kept the original ecu and relays. Removed egr and all other useless things.
One of the fellas at the shop did an engine swap on an f150 a couple years ago. I believe it was the 5.8. He also removed the egr. Not on purpose, if I remember it's on the back of the motor, along with a tangle of hoses and maybe like an egr purge valve of some sorts? Anyway, it all got ripped out (not removed), when he pulled the motor out. It was kind of a big deal because the guy still had to pass emissions!!! Glad your went smoothly. Looks like a pretty tight fit
In Finland car's 77 or older dont have emission test's. It was pretty tight fit brakebooster wont fit any more.
