Wagons in vintage Street scenes

If anyone is archiving these to their own machines (who isn't!!) you might want to try a bulk downloader.

I bought a copy of BulkImageDownloader (http://bulkimagedownloader.com) a while back for harvesting photographs. I turned it loose on this thread and got all of the photos stashed in a directory in just a couple of minutes. I think I'll make that directory my screensaver now!!

 

It pulled down 1651 pictures in all. There were originally a few more in the thread but some of the earlier posts have broken picture links in them now.

I plunked my laptop on the kitchen table and left a slideshow running while I made dinner. An incredible set of pictures!!

 

One of the downsides to a Bulk downloader is that it takes ALL images on the target. It downloaded emoticons, signature images, and some duplicates. Once I weeded everything out I was left with 1581. There are still a few instances where an image was posted more than once with a different name. It'll take a little more work to weed stuff like that out.
