Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Amazing how you can feel dated, and I've posted pics similar also..... "this is'nt vintage, 74ish Maverick, 74,5ish Malibu, 80ish Camaro...this is'nt vintage". Then you realize, holy cr**, this photo was taken that long ago.

Putting down my cane and getting a qwilt for a nap now, whereTF are my slippers? OH, my ears still work, just heard the Day Liner Passenger Train's horn in the distance.....WTF, it's 7 seconds late!!

 

Ah, the gas lines. I remember them well. Prices shot up to 50 cents a gallon here in California and most days could only by 6 gallons. It was a big to do when gas exceeded a dollar. All the pumps had to add a third digit. I could only buy of even numbered days as my license plate ended in an even number.

I remember when the pumps when ding ding ding as each 10 cents when buy on the pump. Ah the good ole days.....

 

If you ever have a yard/garage sale, put up a sandwich board with 36.9 in big red letters. And a toy gas pump behind it! I can imagine the stories you'll hear! And the stuff you'll sell!

Use one of your motion detector yard lamps to run a door bell dinger, too.
