Take a look at these pictures http://www.gremlinx.com/AMC-Pikeville.htm I pass this place every night. I had heard about before but tonight I was talking to a man that had an Eagle and he told me about the pics. The weeds are way more grown up now and all I can see from the road are 2 eagles and the back of a box custom cruiser. I would try and get pics but it's dark when I go through. It's only about 16 miles from my house so maybe one day I'll ride over there. Jon The bottom pic in the middle is what I can see driving past
Yeah, TB....you'd think this Collier guy would have put these cars somewhere inside to preserve them. Can't say that I think much of Mr. Collier.
The place has been discusted on the AMC Forum before. The cars are for salle but he seems to want more than they are worth. It's a shame as they are just going to rust into the ground http://theamcforum.com/forum/amc-junkyard-parts-yard_topic13976_page1.html?KW=collier+motors
The bottom picture is what I see every night except the weeds are taller than the cars now. It really is a shame. Jon
We had pics of this place on here before, am I right? Anybody notice the blue Colony Park in one of them?
Yeah...I remember that CP, snoot. BUT...this place makes me sick. I'll tell you what I would like to do...I would like to chain this Collier a-hole to one of these cars and let HIM rot there till he dies. The link that yellerspirit posted has his name and phone number in it. I just may look him up......
Wouldn't you love to go in there and clean the whole place up, as well as the cars? What a fun thing to do.
Someone from the AMC forum went down there Saturday, some of the cars are sinking into the ground. There his cars, but what a waste. http://amccars.net/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1283300014
I wonder if this is the Collier family from Florida fame? Must have a lot of money from SOMEwhere to let those cars sit and rot like that. Who ever he is...he is NOT a nice guy like the guy said in the AMC thread. The guy is a wasteful, inconsiderate, jerk.
That's sad, especially since I've been thinking about getting one of the 4wd AMC wagons... better than a Subaru any day...
