Hey Mad - welcome to the forums. Glad you found us. That is/was a nice wagon you had. For a 100 bucks the kid got a deal.

I've sent a PM to Rev who owns the other Roadie asking him to get you the detail on is car. He told me some time back but I have forgotten, and he's the man with the car/knowledge of it. He's a good guy, you'll get a kick out of talking to him.

Yup, I went and looked at the Roadmaster. I also BOUGHT the Roadmaster for $1700. Drove it home over the Malahat tonight and it's sitting in my driveway beside a couple of Crown Vics. It does have some issues but nothing that a bit of labour and a few cheap parts won't fix. The most pressing is to get the rear end noise sorted out. Carrier bearing is dead but everything else seems good in the diff. A complete rebuild kit for the diff is about $100 so I'll probably get going on that. It's listed as a 5 or 7 hour job though after messing about with it. It's going to need tires as well. What are the preferred tires for these things these days other than truck tires? I'd like something a little more performance oriented. I used to really like those ol' cop tires - the Goodyear ones? Can't remember. The car also needs a hose from the PCV valve that is cracked and has a vacuum leak. Couple of front end parts and an alignment and it'll be ready to rock.
I was hoping that "grand touring suspension" might mean FIRMER suspension but apparently not.

I forgot to tell you that I told you the wrong code for the RPO. It's G80 for posi. Apparently I have been listening a little too much to the news when I spouted out the "G20" code. It's been awhile since I read the RPO code list for GM's.

I'm watching the CBC news, waiting to record the Paraguay/Brazil FIFA soccer game (My wife's from Mexico - Soccer and Salsa are the daily diet. :biglaugh:).

You're forgiven for the G20-related error. I don't think I can think straight for the whole day, after seeing the Police State that they've turned this country into, and I have to work on my wiring mods!:biglaugh:

Yup, that's the one. I bought it from a lady who drove it for 10 years. She said she's had wagons all her life and her first was a 67 Chevelle Wagon or something like that. She bought it from the original owner. She had a car-nut brother that told her when to do maintenance and such. They unfortunately decided to ignore the rear end noise due to the cost of sending it to the shop but I had a receipt for $4000 for the transmission rebuild from the local tranny shop. She was a bit upset about us driving away in her wagon.

These pictures are RIGHT after I handed over the cash. No cosmetic detailing has occurred with this car yet. Hopefully there will be some good before/after shots.

This wagon is for sale again. The owner is asking $500 after putting some work into it. He wants to trade it for something more fuel efficient. The car is stock except for the stereo (which I have still) and the wheels (obviously). Still a low km car with I think around 150000km. I don't know if something like this is desireable or not but I can get the guys phone number if it is.

Yup, I have to go back and see the owner to retrieve it. She says she has it all.

Got any pictures of yours? Is it rude to ask the price? There aren't many of these for sale and I'm curious what they go for - particularly a black one with no wood.:)
