Just kidding! But he does like to pick out his favorites. He likes the Pick Ups best and various race cars and muscle cars. There is a bunch of "thingy" cars in the box he is allowed to play out of, but they seldom get touched.
I have my Hot Wheels from when I started playing with them in 1970. My kids know DO NOT Touch, not because of any monetary value, but because they bring back great memories.
bob, do you only collect hot wheels or do you collect other brands too like majorette, matchbox, or corgi? ive been a little disapointed to see that the HW today dont look like that ones i played with growing up! the newer ones arent as detailed as the ones from my childhood!
I have diecast cars from at least 44 different manufacturers. Matchbox has impressed me lately with their offerings. Hotwheels has taken the boy racer tact with their lineup but there are some nice ones lately such as their new 1962 Mustang Prototype. I have some pre WWII Tootsietoys, matchbox from the 1953 Coronation Coaches forward, Corgi Jrs, Mini-Lindys, Hotwheels since 1968, etc. Toy cars are my obsesion.

I sadly don't have ANY from my child hood, we moved across country and I left all my hotwheels/match box, corgi etc whith my oldest cousins first born...kinda a hand me down as alot of mine were from...my cousin/s. I was a single father to my girl and then started dating my wife, our first X-Mas we were looking for stocking stuffers (for my dad) and found Hotwheels by chance...in a hard ware store of all places and bout a fist full for my girl. It was a big hit and for several years ( great memories) my little girl and I would every pay day Saterday morning hit the long gone K-Mart for Hotwheels and Matchbox cars. We are all alot older, little one is grown up but yet Hotwheels/Matchbox cars still come home regular....mostly from my wife and girl, I don't Wall Mart shop
i collect 1/18 and 1/24 diecast. being as they have gotten quite expensive...effectively doubled in price within the last 5-10 years not so much anymore. i have a few franklin mint cars (my 1/24)
I stayed away from 1/18. They take up to much space. I stay with Hotwheels size and 1/24-1/25 scale kits.
Here we are playing with a 45 year old toy. It was still sealed when I opened it for him to play with. We had fun! The only bad part was getting back off the floor!
