Revs right, I don't do body work. Everthing else, no problem......bodywork, not so much. I'd rather have it done right.

As for updates, here we go!

Time to update the Parkwood and some of the good stuff happening! As previously posted, it came back from the sandblasters, and Joel, The Body guy, got busy on fenders, doors, tailgate and hood. All of which are ready for primer. I saw alot holes where rust used to be in weird places, but we will be able to fix 98%. I was a bit iffy, but Joel says it aint a biggy, so I'll take his word for it. He's the metal guy.

    So here are some pix.

There was a little rust on the fender and a new patch was put on.

Next came the doors. All dents were pulled and rust fixed.

Next line of business was the tailgate. I was pretty worried about it, but after the sandblasting treatment, it wasn't as bad as I thought.

    Kudo's to the body guys...
Being a damage appraiser by profession, I've been around body repair technicians for 32+ years and I really consider them artists when they get working on a proect like yours, Stovebolt. Wish I had learned that talent.....

Thanks for the update Stovebolt. Great photos. Very much appreciated. Can't help but wonder how it is coming and being so close, wondering when we are going to see it on the road. Very exciting stuff. Heck, at the pace you are going you'll probably have it on the road before I have the Chevelle on the pavement.

Stovebolt, you must live the life of a Saint to find a Tin God like Joel, with a body shop with a long sheetmetal break to do that fine work on the long parts! Outstanding work!

He makes picking up a rust bucket look like a promising jewel!

    I'm glad you're paying him! :rofl2:

So it morphs from yard art to hot rod queen in rapid order. It will be nice to see it out and about when it is done. Gosh, Rev, maybe he'll leave it on your driveway when it is done and the keys under the floor mat. If so, let me know. We can go tear up Marine Drive one night and freak out the old'sters strolling the boardwalk

I have fond memories of some hot 50-ish babes. I was younger then, when Mrs. Robinson was an essential step into puberty.:biglaugh:

Take your wife to the Hot Jazz Club on Main St. in downtown Vancouver. Rather inspiring! Great music too. :thumbs2:

So what ever did happen to old Joe D? Where the heck did he go? I never figured that one out. Did he slip out the door with some hot 50 year old chicaroonie? The nation still seems to have lonely eyes:rofl2:
